Drywall finisher Employer details NorSask Gypsum Limited Job details • Location: 2418 Baker Road Corman Park, Saskatchewan S7T 1C1 • Workplace information: On site • Salary: 26.75 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week • Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full time • Day, Evening, Morning, Weekend • Starts as soon as possible • Benefits: Other benefits • Vacancies:1 vacancy Overview Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience 1 to less than 7 months On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment • Dusty Work setting • Commercial • Residential • Rural area • Relocation costs covered by employer Responsibilities • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster • Cure freshly plastered surfaces • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Supervision • 1 to 2 people Additional information Security and safety • Bondable • Criminal record check Work conditions and physical capabilities • Bending, crouching, kneeling • Hand-eye co-ordination • Handling heavy loads • Large workload • Manual dexterity • Overtime required • Physically demanding • Repetitive tasks • Sound discrimination • Standing for extended periods • Tight deadlines • Walking • Work under pressure Weight handling • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Personal suitability • Dependability • Excellent oral communication • Flexibility • Judgement • Reliability • Team player Benefits Other benefits • Parking available You can apply if you are: • a Canadian citizen • a permanent resident of Canada • a temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
