DEVONWEST SHEETMETAL LTD is looking for a Sheet Metal Worker! Job details Location: 4890-206 STREET, Langley, BC, V3A 5C3 Workplace information: On site Salary: 36.60 hourly / 40 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Health benefits Overview Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting: Various locations Responsibilities • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal • Operate laser cutters • Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification • Cut materials using power tools or by hand • Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment • Fit and join sheet metal parts • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course Work conditions and physical capabilities • Fast-paced environment • Physically demanding • Manual dexterity • Attention to detail • Hand-eye co-ordination • Standing for extended periods • Bending, crouching, kneeling • Handling heavy loads • Overtime required • Tight deadlines Personal suitability • Dependability • Efficient interpersonal skills • Judgement • Organized • Team player Health benefits • Dental plan • Health care plan Who can apply for this job?
